Arriving to oz with a broken wrist

Does anyone know how on going treatment will be funded for a broken bone after arrival in oz? Break happened in uk several months before flights were booked, but complications means treatment may be needed after arrival. Unsure if I will have to self fund or if there is some kind of reciprocal agreement between uk and oz.
