  1. Hi Nikki, I have 2 boys 4 and 2, it would be good to meet some more mums with children the same age. We live in Coogee at the moment, moved here last year, I'm from Pembroke. Let me know if you fancy a catch up. Jo x
  2. Hi Lorna, we live south of the river so am not able to help, but have a look at the buggy buddys website, this will let you know what's going on in your area and people looking to make friends. Hope this helps. Jo x
  3. Hi, let me know if you arrange a meet up. We live in Coogee and have a 4 and 2 year old. Always good to meet new people and widen our social circle, when hubby's working.
  4. We did this last year. Think that you will need to prove that you have been living together for more than 6 months, will need to show proof of this and get people to make statements on your behalf that you are a couple etc. Think that it would look better if you stay together. It took us over 8 months from applying to getting visa. If your other half is under 30 they could apply for a working holiday visa, which is much quicker. Good luck. Jo
  5. Hi Ana Hope that you are settling in well. We moved over last August and I know how daunting it can be. If you fancy a catch up, let me know we have a 4 and 2 year old sons. Other half is starting fifo next week so was be lovely to meet some new people while hes away and keep ourselves busy.
  6. Hi we live in Coogee and really love it, it can be expensive though, currently living with the in-laws. The new area of Munster is nice and a cheaper alternative. Not really sure about the older area of Spearwood, but they are building lots of new places at Eliza Ponds off Hamilton Road. Would check it out thoroughly first. Excellent primary school in Coogee on Mayor Road. Good to register children at the school asap as we had problems getting our son into kindy there as we only moved here last August, think that for other years you will be fine if living within the boundary. Good parks and so lovely to live near the beach. Other good areas an 18 min drive away are Hammond Park, Success, Atwell and Aubin Grove, which are nearer to the freeway and transport links and also have good primary schools. Feel free to ask any questions as we moved out last year.
  7. Good luck with the move. I am also from Wales (originally Swansea then Pembroke), moved over in August. Which area are you moving to? Get in touch when you are settled. Jo
  8. Hi Hayley/Lauren, would be good to catch up. Let me know when is good for you. We are a bit busy this week, but would be good to catch up one weekend. Lauren, hope that you get your visa soon and good luck with the move. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, as we done it all 5 months ago x
  9. Hi We moved to Coogee from London 5 months ago and are looking to make some new friends during the week, when the other half is working. We have a 4 and 2 year old, let me know if you fancy a catch up. Jo
  10. Hi Linds, We recently made the big move with 2 young children and are living in the City of Cockburn (UK equivalent borough) area in Coogee. Staying with the in-laws at the moment so do not have the hassle of house prices/rentals etc yet. The area is really nice and good around Success for shopping and getting about etc. Think that cheaper areas nearby are Beeliar, Piara Waters and Yangebup. Flight was better than expected with 2 young children, maybe some new toys/activites to keep them occupied and lots of snacks and ipad and we survived. It you have any other questions, please feel free to ask as it was a bit daunting moving here and get in touch when you arrive always nice to meet some new people. Jo
  11. Hi Dan, welcome to Perth. Shame the weather hasn't been a bit better for you. Another good website to look at is buggybuddys which will tell you what is going on in your area etc. take care. Jo

We live in Coogee which is South of Freo, so will check out how far away Mount Lawley is, bit scared of driving too far at the moment until I get used to it. A good website for you to look at is buggybuddys which will show you what is going on in your area etc. take care and all the best. Jo xxx
  13. Hi, we are in a similar situation. I know that your post is a few years old, but if you are still looking to make some new friends drop me a line. We have recently moved to Perth. Jo
