i was exactly like you hun people i spoke to were nervous and worried but me on lol i was thinking omg I'm worried I'm not worried if u know what i mean ha ha It is a massive move your right but take it all in your stride you will be fine its tough but once you have a car and house you can start to make progress. have you got any children partner etc?? Hi everyone, Thought id update you as we have been in Perth for 5 weeks now and i must say its flown by. We have made great progress bought a car got a rental eventually after viewing 15 properties in one week do not be fooled its not easy to get a rental here. Our 5 year old son started school and absolutely loves it the school is amazing its a government school opened this year and we are impressed! My husband started work also 2 half weeks ago FIFO thats been super tough its prob been the hardest part of moving here seeing my hubby off to work after 6 days of getting our new home, i cried for 2 days solid and all the way home from the airport i thought he was going to book a flight back at one point but he's home in 4 days so we have got through the first rotation. Its a 3/1 rotation. We are Frantically looking for local work although due to state sponsorship regional visa this is proving difficult and work seems quiet here for trades atm. we have been advised he's lucky to have a job so we are keeping positive about him being away and hopefully it won't be for much longer. The place is lovely we have settled in Mandurah and are very happy with the place and surrounding areas plenty of beaches and places to go. I have joined a gym with a creche which helps with hubby away i get to still do my fitness which keeps me happy and said also. We have our first visitors arriving a week monday for a month so looking forward to having them here its my father in law and his wife we will continue the job search but other than that everything has worked out just right for us!!! good luck to all moving over you will need it its a very tough challenge and you will require your full strength to do it!! but once your set up you can enjoy which we are about too. Aww I feel for you I really do. I on the other hand am the exact opposite and it's really scary.... i'm thinking maybe when we arrive in 2 weeks time i'm going to hit a brick wall??? but im so excited to be so fortunate to have such an amazing opportunity one that does not come around for many!! I know that my children are going to have a lifestyle that we can only ever dream of in wales. We are close to family but I look at it as they can visit and when they do visit we can spend quality time together and do things we would never do back home! Im also getting some negative thoughts from some of the family they think we will come home and think that we cant do it and this drives me more to want to make things work!! look its a day away on the plane to get home and Skype and facetime makes the world such a smaller place!! you have to do what's best for your unit your children will benefit ten folds. Never live with regrets and surround yourself with positivity it will get you through and remind your self of all the reasons why you started this process in the beginning find your fire again and follow your dreams!!!! if all else fails you can go home and return to your lives you already have!! that thought for me is a bad thought I really want this and im going to give it 100 percent positive energy its a lot to do with midset. Ita a massive move a massive decision but you like other CAN do it!!!! good luck xxxxx

Hi All .... Just thought it may be a good idea to say hi to all the new arrivals for this year. We leave Wales in 2 weeks time, sooooo excited!!!!! So maybe we could all look at a get together? maybe the End of February 2015? I am 28 like to socialise and a glass of red wine Hubby is 30 loves a pint and a chin wag lol oh a motor bikes My children ... Hi All we will be moving over in 2 weeks time to Perth going to be staying in Baldivis for a couple of weeks until we find a property in Mandurah. My hubby is 30 I am 28 we have a son 5 yrs and a baby girl 7 months. Hubby will be fly in fly out work so will be happy for a girls day with the children and also family days and socialising when he's home too. We are moving over from Wales and would love to meet some new people.
