Hi girls... let me know when you both get here... Mandurah is south and I'm north but we can always meet half way Kingsley is a few suburbs away so look forward to a play date. The flights was actually really good.... I was so worried about it, more so because of my youngest, but he only had a few moments. I was expecting the worst so I was very surprised how easy it was. We done the longer flight over night so they both slept for the whole of it. So only had 6 hours of entertaining to do! He had a sky cot which I swear by... As if gave him his own space to sleep. Hi, we have just moved to Perth and currently living in Mullaloo. We would love to meet someone with similar aged children for play dates. My husband starts work on Monday so a little worried about getting lonely and missing home xx

hiya, yeah we shipped our stuff off in May so they should turn up 5 days after we arrive, hopefully! we are just about ready to go, i think im more organised than i think, yet i feel like im forgetting things! living out of suitcases at the moment so cant wait to get settled out there got our leaving party next Saturday! then we are doing the goodbyes after that. Also trying to cram as much as possible in before we go hehe! perth city will definitely be a good coffee meeting point x

Hi, Not long left to go now! 13 days until we fly to Perth. we are starting out in Mullaloo for a month until we decide where we want to continue living Feels very surreal at the moment. Im having major issues with fitting everything in suitcases too lol. is there anything people would recommend bringing as i hear its expensive for certain things, so would rather bring them out with us? Also, if there are any others in our situation or want to meet out there? I will be coming over with my husband, little girl age 3 and little boy age 1. x

Me too!! we are now looking into buying as just want to put our own stamp on a house. although thats looking Very expensive!! i feel really gutted about the renting situation. xx

So, after my post on renting. My husband and I have decided to think about buying a lot quicker than we expected. literally due to not being able to decorate and make house rented house a home. We want to make out children feel as normal as possible so think buying will help us be able to do this. we are on a 457 visa and hope to become citizens in 18 months. x

we rent our house out in the UK and expect the tenant to make it a home as long as they put it back to how we left it before they move on. from what I have been reading, it sounds like this is not the case in perth? I have shipped over loads of house bits to make our house a home and am now concerned I wont be allowed to put wall hangings up etc? and when it comes to painting... how does this work? as we have a little girl who obviously needs a pink room haha! thanks for any advice

Hi, it still is yet to sink in but we emigrate to Perth in 23 days! my husband, 2 children (aged 3 and 13 months) and I. We are staying in Mullaloo for the first month while we househunt. any advice on areas will be great. we are thinking around the Duncraig area... Craigie and Hillarys look lovely. cant wait to explore the areas and meet some new friends xx

Hi, my husband, 2 children and I, get to Perth on 24th July. we are staying in Mullaloo for 29 days and in that time will be looking for furniture to take to the house we decide to rent. I have been looking on Ebay ad Gumtree but just wondered if anyone knew of someone moving back to the uk etc that could help us out? Thanks
