He left in August, it's been really hard! Harder for Des to be fair he's on his own! The plan was that he was coming home for Christmas and we'd all go out together in January but we'd both need to be working and without any childcare rebate I'd really just be working to pay childcare and Des would be working all hours so it sort of defeats the purpose of moving for a better standard of living!. If we didn't have the kids we'd be gone like a shot!!!

Yeah..... well I haven't left! Des is over there and we've come to the conclusion that with the cost of living and especially childcare we probably just can't do it on the 489 ?

I know that on a PR visa once you get there you can work at anything, just wanted to make sure that you can do anything when on 489? Will it matter when it comes to getting PR if my DH has worked at something other than nominated occupation? I know it doesn't say anything about it on the visa just says live and work in designated area, but just wanted to make sure. Thanks
