Hi All we have been informed by our shipping company that we owe them an additional £800.00 for excess cubic feet . I have pointed out to them that the items they quoted for are exactly what was shipped . I told the packers when they emptied our house in UK that many of our items have been quoted to be dismantled and flat pack , they told me they didn't have time as they were running late do to another job that they had to do that morning . We have now been told that the load was 700cubic ft over , which is the approximate size of all the stuff that should have been flat packed . I have spoken to BAR and they have told me if flat packing was not in the written contract then there is no case for the removal company to answer and that I need to pay them before my belonging are released . Has anyone else had these issues ? And to all others , go through the contract with a fine tooth comb , they are robbing sh**s . Andy

Hi . I applied as a Scaffolding Supervisor and also received the first and second emails . I have heard nothing since but a buddy of mine was asked to go for an interview on 16th December , which is when the first recruitment drive took place . He couldn't go as he had left to visit UK for the holidays . I am still in UK and heading to Perth , Via 3 weeks in Thailand , in January . I spoke to CKJV last week they told me that I had missed the first process as I was still based in UK , which is understandable . Ill get in touch with them when I arrive in the new year . They need lots of staff but there are also lots of guys trying to get on board . Once the positions are filled this will open up other opportunities in the positions emptied by the Gorgon . Apparently there are a few major projects kicking of in 2013 , so good luck to us all . I hope I can come to Perth with my wife and 2 young kids , work hard and get rewarded !!
