  1. Thanks everyone for your replies! I am glad you get 12 months to go in person as it will be April before we travel over. Travel chick, how is your process coming along? You were a few weeks after me in the skills assessment. My husband and I have been trying o work out weather to do a validation visit or to just go for it! Anyhow, we have decided to just go for it! We are hoping o fly out nd of April, begining of May. We were hoping or my husband to have employment before but nothing as yet! So we are going to travel for 3 weeks and try and find a place we like to settle. Must be mad when we have 2 kids under 4! Anyhow nothing ventured, nothing gained!

  3. Hi everyone, sorry to sound so silly! But I am filling in the AHPRA registration forms. Can I put my British address done for them to send correspondence to? They all ask for state etc but I am till in the UK. Do we just then contact them when we get an address in Australia? I am getting ANMAC to send over all my transcripts/forms etc. o I then just send my application form and money? Any responses gratefully received. Xxxx

  6. Hi everyone, my husband and I have a camp let trailer tent! We are considering shipping it over with our stuff, has anyone brought one over or is it easier to sell and buy over there. Also do tents over there have sealed awnings (to prevent creepy crawlies getting in) as our trailer tent does not! Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.xxxx:biggrin:

  8. Hi I was just wondering how everyone was getting on? I officially had a brain fart (thats what my husband calls them) a few weeks ago, everything happened so fast for a few weeks. It's really scary when suddenly you realise this is not just planning anymore, but ACTUALLY happening! Feeling a lot more positive again, my husband has started sending off his cv and we have some reply's which is nice! Still no case officer, should be soon though. Hope everyone is doing ok.

  18. Hi deb, i spoke to the head of nursing at my college. I found when I went straight to the top and told her it was for ANMAC she knew she needed to do a in depth breakdown of our course in nursing. Up until then I had being dealing with general office and they kept getting it wrong. I work in north Wales, but live near Chester. Keep your chin up debs, I know how your feeling! I was so frustrated a few weeks ago. But finally things re moving again and that's made me excited again. Xxxx
