  1. Hi Jamie, iv just tried to send you a pm, but it says you have chosen not to receive private messages or can not receive them! I think there must be something in your settings which you can change. But I'm not that great at all this stuff either! Il try again a little bit later! Mariaxx
  2. Hi, we have just purchased a property and now have to break lease, it's all happening very quickly. We are renting a 4x2 in Connolly, walkable distance from primary school. Very close to joondalup train station and shops. It looks like our settlement date will be 3/10/14 and have lease up till 4/12/14. Very reasonable rent. If anybody is interested please pm me. Thanks Mariax
  3. Hi, that would be great, il keep my eye on here, see what's happening, Or when I find my way round il come up with some suggestions! Mariax

  5. Hi Charlie, I think the best place to start is find out what the seasons are for the different fruit, in different areas. It might be something you stumble across on your travels or give you a direction and time frame.. this something I did along time ago,11 years ago in fact, so wouldn't have a clue what it's like now, It was about this time of year I picked zucchini and squash up in Kununurra, it was also melon picking season there. i was with a group that travelled up to Broome then hung around there until the season had begun. I got a lift up to kununurra then it was a bit of ring round different farms and of word of mouth. I heard of a job on the zucchini farm but couldn't drive an it was a bit out of town, so I told the bloke who'd give me lift from Broome about it, but asked him to put my name forward for the next place that came up, which he did an then gave me a lift to work too. It was normal for the backpackers in them areas to have info too. Ahh brings back lots of memories!! Im sure what ever you do you'll have an amazing time! Good luck with it all. Maria
  6. Hi, thanks for advice, I will need to do more home work! suppose I'm stressing a little, I've only recently passed my driving test, an the thought of me driving in a different country ( which seems to have a bit of a rep for bad drivers) while having my little " angels" in the back, is making me really conscious of getting the best seats I can! portlauney, that's such a good point about it being illegal to sell seats that don't meet required safety standards, it's obvious really just never thought of it that way, although I must say I have seen some dodgy looking restraints on the au eBay!! FrankieB When we first arrive we will be staying with the in laws and will maybe possibly have use of their car (if they let me drive will be another matter haha) so was looking at getting something before we land that can be used when they pick us up at airport. theyve not really had kids around since there own where little so not really clued up on these things! great tip about target though, had a look and one that rates high on the creep report which neenie has mentioned is stocked there! Neenie, Thanks, I need to take a little more time an have a look at the links you have provided, but at a glance they look really helpful! i too kept both girls in their first rear facing seat for as long as possible. I think that larger rear facing seats are becoming a little more popular here but not seen many and none in oz yet?! Hope you find ones that meet your requirements. Although there doesn't seem to be a lot that get top marks in crep report, hopefully that's just because its a really tough report! thanks to you all again it really is appreciated!, mariax
  7. Hi, Just wondering if anyone can help!! We will be landing in perth at the end of September! We will be needing two car seats, one for a 4 year old one for a two year old! Iv had a look around on Aussie websites, and is it just me or is it ten times harder to pick one over there? maybe it is because I had a general knowledge of good ones here, but I'm baffled! So if any one has any recommendation's or perhaps selling any decent one's on, I would be delighted! Thanks Mariax
  8. Wow photos are amazing!!! (Cerberus) thanks neenie that would be great!! getting very excited now!! Good luck to everyone making the move!! mariaxx
