Hi KGB, we used oz house rentals, they were excellent and I had other responses privately saying they were happy to take the cats. These are holiday lets but I'm still worried!! i have heard the rental market is not as bad these days so it may be ok. It wouldn't be possible to leave them they are part of the family! So hard

Happy Friday everyone! I need some advice from those who have rented in Perth with pets. We are due to fly out in January and have a 14 week rental sorted (phew) but I am having a bit of a panic about finding a place to rent with cats long term. We have two house cats and although we had no issues accommodating them in a holiday rental I have heard some horror stories regarding the competitive rental market and now I am in a panic.. Especially as the cats flights are booked. We would love to bring our beloved mogs... Can anyone offer any advice or experiences in terms of renting with cats? Thanks everyone Lizzi

Hi all, We are looking for a short term let for approximately 15weeks near to or in Joondalup from around the 6th Jan 14. Fully furnished and near to public transport links. We need two bedrooms minimal and able to accommodate 2 cats for about 10 of those weeks. Both cats are house cats in the Uk and 6 yrs old (fully house trained). if anyone can help or point us in the right direction we would be greatful About us: We are a married couple with a 6month baby (on arrival to WA). I have a job I start in Jan and will be based NOR for the first three months. Regards Anthony

We applied for a 186 employee sponsored PR visa. Lodged it the 11/06/13, had to wait for our baby to be born and get his passport. Submitted all our stuff in the interim. Medicals were done as a family on the 19/09/13 and granted 03/10/13.

All I can say is..... what a feeling!! Good luck to all those waiting...it is well worth it! Best get planning

I'm it's a feeling that's been experienced by many, but the final wait is torture. Everything is done on the visa front just waiting for the verdict on that email. Then we can get a start date for my new job and get the plans rolling. I have lost count how many times I've checked my emails even when I know the immigration office is closed! Fingers crossed we will find out soon.

We had a similar issue. My OH was pregnant when we lodged our visa. Once little one was born, we filled in a change of circumstances form and added little one to the application, along with birth certificate and passport. We are all having our medicals tomorrow as the OH couldn't have the X-ray whilst pregnant. it has been simple from my point of view and have done it on my own without an agent.

Thank you DavidM. Sorry for the late reply, I just submitted the birth certificate as we don't have family books in the UK either. I have found with the online system you often need to submit the same document several times as evidence for the different sections, but as long as you attach it under the right section it doesn't seem to be a problem. Hopefully you will get a CO shortly, good luck with the application. Nemo

I added all my documents to the online system as they requested them. I then got sent an email from a CO to my email account asking for our medicals to be completed within 28days. However we needed to add our new born which they kindly assisted with. Now it's medicals for all of us and hopefully it can be approved!!

We would have done our medicals earlier like you have, but my wife and I have had our first child, so we've been waiting for the CO to assist with adding him to the application and get all the medicals done together, hopefully it will be sort quickly after that!

I was emailed to my email account, telling me I need to do my medicals. Nothing appears different on my online application as of yet.

I was finally contacted by a case officer on Thursday morning which was 8 weeks and 3days after I had lodged my application.
