alant
Hello, I'm going to organise my subscription to Foxtel (I'm going to go for the Platinum package) but before I do this I was wondering if anyone had gotten any good deals from them recently?? If you did, can you let me know so I can go 'armed' to Foxtel and try and get the best deal possible (I'm Scottish so every penny is a prisoner )
lozzachino
Good luck! I get the impression that are the complete opposite of Sky! Ie pay it or get lost. I used to ring up sky everytime my offer ended and would get moved to another one. Seems like that doesnt really exist here. Such a shame as we would love foxtel for the sport but cant justify $80 a month for it. My oh also wants to watch boardwalk empire but the new season is on a channel you can only have if you have the movie package, so so so sneaky!! alant
I worked for Sky in the UK before I left and we got everything for free (TV, Internet & telephone) so having to pay for it is killing me but needs must so I'm trying to see if I can get a deal before parting with my hard earned pennies! Philpom
Once you are on Foxtel they will do everything in their power to keep you as a customer. The amount of times I've gone to disconnect and they throw a new deal at you to keep you. They are getting a bit meaner in their discounts though as I think they have got wise to what people are up to.
TheReids
I phoned them a few weeks ago to get connected and they gave me the first month of Platinum for free. I wasn't going to order that package.I still had to pay for my IQ box and installation though which cost $150.Good luck!
alant
I managed to get the first month free on the Platinum package (in HD too) plus I also managed to get the free IQ box - so I only have to pay for the $75 installation - a wee saving of $202....not too shabby
