Bed size like uk?

Hi there I hope someone can help...my family and I are moving over to WA in March this year and shipping our furniture over next month....I'm trying to get a bit organised and wanted to know if the bed sizes are the same as here in the UK?

 

We have a standard (UK) double 4'6"

A king size (UK)

Then two single beds.

 

Will I be able to buy bedding to fit in Oz? What are the bed sizes there?

 

Also Oz is the same as UK for electrical items, just a different plug...am I correct?

 

Any advice will be welcomed on other subjects, thank you so much in advance....very excited but terrified wife and mum of two!

Yep. One tip for things like mobile phone chargers/other transformers that you can't change the plug on - bring a few of those 4-way mains strip adaptors. Change the plug on that to Aussie, and your chargers will work in the 4-way.

You can also get linen delivered to Australia online from John Lewis amongst others. I think ikea beds and linen may be uk size or close enough.
