Hi Steve,

My OH is a roofer, he works for himself and has been roofing for 24yrs. He's really busy at the moment working 7 days a week so we're concerned that we are taking a big risk heading out to Aus not knowing if there's any work for him. Do you know what the work situation is like in WA for roofers? We are heading out to Perth on the 12th of December for 3 weeks to validate our 176 Visa. We will be moving out for good in August 2012 after our daughter has finished her GCSEs if all goes well on the reccie.

Where are you planning to settle? We are spending half our time in Mandurah to check out the South and half in Scarborough to check out the North! Hopefully by the end of our holiday we will have an idea which is best for work.

All the best

Lisa
