My partner has worked in construction for 20 years and can drive all the big machines. After speaking to an Australian guy the other day, He was thinking about the mines but anything would do. We are looking for a 457 sponsor and don't even mind paying for it, as ive heard it cost the companys $5000. Any help you could give us would be most appreiciated. I am a support worker with 20 years experience and a wide range of qualifications. Your partner will need to get any licences he has for plant and heavy machinery convert to AUS licences although if he gets sponsorship they may do it for him. I do not know of any companies that would spnsor him directly with his skills but if you can email me a list of his licences/certificates etc then I may have a better idea of who to speak to.
