Levi
Things are moving along rather quickly if you ask me. A couple of weeks waiting, in some cases 5-6 months, perhaps a year. From my point of view it's fast. If I understood correctly then my sister and her family started it all by themselves in 2008, got their first response mid-2010. Now that's some waiting. They went from South Africa. Next contact was at the beginning of 2011, and yes, from then it went quickly for them too. They're in Perth since this January. All in all, fingers crossed for everyone who wants to go, perhaps I'll meet y'all in Perth in a couple of years (because I would like to go too). Here's to speedy processing! Cheers
Graybags
We went through a migration agency for our 456 and were still sending documents through on 11 August last year. However, the visa was granted on 15 August! I suppose since it was "decision ready" DIAC didn't have to do much. Since then we applied for permanent residency under the Employer Nominated Scheme for an 856. This was lodged on 26 June and granted on 7 September. It's a hughe weight off our shoulders as I'm now 55 and my kids would have had to get their own visas if they'd earned more than $500 a week as they wouldn't have been dependants. Guest redcassie
So it could be imminent! Scary but exciting! Well i wish you the very best of luck and cant wait to read your threads once you're there! Is there anywhere in particular you have in mind to live once you are there? Hi we're thinking rossmoyne/willetton for good state schools primarily, then the usual haunts around joondalup! Still waiting on removal date... beginning to hate the word wait How are your plans progressing?

Still waiting on removal date... beginning to hate the word wait How are your plans progressing? I guess this just gets us all ready for the 'WA=wait a while' way of life people talk about! We've not narrowed it down to any set areas, but quite fancy the stretch from Joondalup down to Duncraig. ...I will look forward to racking your brain for info on good schools once you're there then!!! Plans moving slowly but surely here thanks Redcassie, had an email from our agent today saying all the paperwork is now with the AQF assessors and they have taken the payment, so that should be commencing any day now I guess. Get hubbys IELTS results this Friday, house going up for sale in a couple of weeks (if I can be bothered to finish the decorating!) So it's all getting somewhere now, but seems like we have such a loooong long way to go yet!

We're here 4 mths today and feel like an old hand already! Oldest boy in kindy and loves it. In a lovely area - Darch its NOR and have settled in really well. It was stressfull when u read back but after a few months it does calm down. I'm so glad we took the plunge. It can be hard missing family at times, I was never a home bird so I can appreciate that its harder on people who are.
Pinkpopy123
Hi everyone, well we been here now 8 weeks and we are truly in love with WA. We are moving into a wow factor house in Clarkson next week and love the suburb! The kids love the schools there so dont believe all the rumours of bad reputation as the schools are actually very good. My job at king Edwards is brilliant too. I have to be honest weve found it cheaper so far to live here, the only things which are pricey are cars, especially second hand so we bought new instead, they same price. And also found it expensive to eat out oh and beer expensive, ya best buying bulk lol. Weve found great deals on quality furniture packages too so glad we didnt bring our stuff in containers. Anyway the sunshine and the beaches are worth it, we will never go back to England now! Hope uv all had as good a time as we have!!!!
