  1. Hi, I saw that on TV the other day and it looks really efficient. It's a gel you spray on your house to prevent it from burning when threatened by bush fires. Seems quite easy to apply and cheap compared to losing your home. Thought some might be interested, as it is available in WA apparently. http://www.barricadefireprotection.com.au/1250950/barricade-fire-blocking-gel-domestic-protection.htm
  2. We went last year for a reccie end of September beginning of October with the family. We have had some very nice days, but couldn't really enjoy the beach or the pool. Nice temperature to visit and walk around though. A month later will be warmer. I went alone 3 years ago in December. It was definitely hotter. November should be nice...
  3. I don't think that is necessarily true. I rented with hertz at Perth airport, 410$ for 9 days, Hyundai SUV for family of 5. I did book 4 months in advance, and from hertz France. I think I remember seeing a difference depending from which country you book from. No taxi, and they were open when we arrived at 01.30 am.
  4. We went to Perth in October for a reccie and brought milk powder in the plane. No problem at the airport as long as you take it out of the bag when going through the xray. Same with bottle of milk. They are usually well aware of babies need.
  5. Hello Davy, We used Migratus, Sophie Alberto. We had a "difficult" case, but she helped us through the all visa application, and we got our 190 visa a few weeks back. She was charging a fee for the initial consultation if I recall correctly. I'm working in oil&gas too, currently subsea projects, but got assessed as mechanical engineer. Good luck
  6. Hi, I have been reading this forum for months, and always get the answers I was looking for, so this is my first post today. We're a family of 5, 3 kids of 2, 12 and 14. We just got our visa 190 a week ago, and planned our validation trip at the end of September in Perth. We plan to move there in 2016. I was wondering if any of you started administrative steps while in the validation trip, like open bank account, get cellphone sim card, ect.... So when you come for good, it is easier to get started... What did you do beside go check areas where you want to live, schools, and enjoy holidays? Thanks!
