  1. We moved to Perth on 31/1/14 after 7 years of trying and a few failed visa applications. When we arrived the job fell through. Both of us applied for so many jobs, but apart from some cash in hand babysitting for an English family we didnt find any work. After 6 months we decided to apply for jobs back home. We are now back where we came from, both with full time jobs and 3 children in excellect schools. It broke our hearts to leave Perth. But we used most of our savings and couldnt really see an alternative. We no longer own a house and the focus of our lives for so many years has gone. Just bad timing for us I think.
  2. Our children were at Rosalie which was very multicultural.
  3. Yes. Children have been very lucky to get into their old school and are so keen to get back!
  4. Innaloo is very handy for shops/cinema/road into Subi. Scarborough looks nice (only driven through) and don't know Greendalough. Make sure you bring some warm clothes. The daytime is lovely, but it gets really cold at night. Good luck with everything. X
  5. Hi @cutchibear yes, 2 students are taking over the lease. How are you going? The new building looks like it is moving along. Have you decided where to live yet?

  7. We arrived here on 31.12.14. DH had a job. We found a great rental (which we are now breaking lease on) We furnished the house with new stuff (now trying to sell it all) and sold everything in the UK. The plan was to enjoy January and start school and work in Febuary. January was great. However when real life was about to start we found that the business had no work for DH. As our visa did not require him to start until April, we thought ok, it will be very tight, but we can manage. He was able to do a second job. He has applied for all sorts both in his field and everything else, with no luck. We are going back on 23.6.15. Not because we don't love Australia, but because we are fast running out of money and because we have had more positive responses from job applications in the UK. We feel that for us this was not the right time and maybe in a year or so things here will be different.
  8. Thanks @DangerousDave we were on our down, but had a nice breakfast at Dome so nevermind.
