  6. Hi Carol Me and my husband have been here nearly two years, we live in Ardross and guess I am a nurse also. I am free Fridays & Saturdays for coffee or even a glass of wine. We are here for another two years then we go home. If you fancy meeting pm me or look me up on FB Angelia Mackinder. Look forward to herring from you.
  7. Hi JCH My husband and I have been in Perth for nearly two years. My husband wanted to integrate with the locals hence we are renting SOR in Ardross mainly Australian. Bad move, one neighbour says hello. It is not like Neighbours or Home & Away. I, in the end came on this site and made several friends two of which went back home as they did not like it here. I find Australian people arrogant, uncouth and lagging behind the UK. I am a nurse but find nursing so backwards here. If you are over 30 I feel that it is harder to make friends as friendships are already made and Australian people do not put themselves out. Sorry I sound grim but WA is a weird place to be. If you want to live in 1960 its a great place apparently.
  8. Hi Lisa My name is Angelia and I live in Ardross with my husband Phil. We have been in WA nearly two years. Ardross about 20 minutes from you. I work as a nurse Mon-Thur, so could meet up for coffee or a wine. My children are all grown up and live back home. Look forward to hearing from you.x
  9. Hi Elaine My husband and I live in Ardross I think that's 20 minutes from you. We have been here two years come June, cannot say it was the best move but only two years left then back home to UK. I work as a Clinical Nurse but find nursing way behind. Worked in the hospital system but did not like it so now in Aged Care this is awful too. I am 49 and hubby 43 would love to meet as a couple or girlie days. My name is Angelia.
  10. Hello Boo I live in Ardross so not far from you. If you feel like a coffee or glass of wine Facebook me as not on this site often. My name is Angelia Mackinder. Look forward to hearing from you.x
  11. Hello Elizabeth Know how you feel, just me and hubby here. Its been 18 months of hard slog for me and still is but only 30 months to go then back home. My children and grand kids back home, so have a lot to miss. We live in Ardross 15 minutes SOR from Perth. We are in our 40's. Do not come on here often, but if you use face book look Angelia Mackinder up and message me.
  12. Hello I have taken my time to reply to your remarks. If you look under NHS England and Clinical Commissioning Groups in the responsibilities and standing rules regulations 2012, you would read that 'you have the legal right to start your NHS consultant-led treatment within a maximum of 18 weeks from referral, or unless you choose to wait longer or it is clinically appropriate that you wait longer'. The only reason I stay in this awful country, who at ever opportunity diss the British, is because my husband is an honourable man who will see his contract out. I believe everyone is entitled to an opinion but on this site you have some truly shocking people. What is MBTUK crowd all about????
  13. Hello to everyone that has shared their experiences of moving to Perth and how they feel. I standby what I said about the NHS being the best medical system. As a nurse who has worked here in the public hospitals and now privately the NHS is definitely better. Nurses here feel they have a heavy workload with just six patients to look after. They may do all the care, as health care assistants are pretty much a new system here, but they are not as busy as a nurse back home looking after a 33 bedded ward. They still pick up from doctors and they are twenty years behind with practice. What I am trying to get at is you do not have to worry in the UK to see a dentist or a doctor as the NHS pays here you still need money to see a GP and you better have a good job to see a dentist as even the best health plans do not cover what dentist charges. In the UK you are seen within 18 weeks of seeing a GP to having surgery here that is not the case unless you have private health cover. I did not come here to be part of little Britain but I did not expect Australians to be right up themselves. I am not Australian so how would I know about secrurity guys from the local council?? I am pleased that people love it here someone has too but not me. England as a country has far more to offer than Australia ever will.
