  1. Medicare will give you numbers straight away. just go to the nearest shopping center that has a medicare office grab a ticket and wait in line . Take passports etc with you and they will send you a plastic card through the post, TFN I think was straight away as well , done online . ( unless that's changed)

  2. Not sure which bit me ?!

I woke up with a fat thumb and during the day it started getting bigger and blacker and spreading up my arm , I never knew I had been bitten . off I trotted to walk in they were yup spider bite and why did you leave it so late to come in ... , I was stressing ... I am not going to loose my thumb am I ? . I didn't realise I had been bitten ! must have been the day before I was gardening without gloves ! ( note to self ... DON"T garden without gloves !!!)

Second time again I had been bitten and not notice we were sitting outside at friends and I thought MOGGIE bite .. off I went to bed and woke up looking like elephant man , off to walk in again .. that was freaky as they were on my neck and down my shoulder the bloody thing must of walked all over me ! :arghh:

  3. Roxy , we moved here from Leeming . we wanted schools/beach/afordability etc . We also have family down here , tbh we like Baldivis ( we are getting more shops etc ) .. the only thing I don't like is being so far down . we were spoilt living nearer Perth and Freo .

Its not that far but ... :)

We went around all the land sales relevant to school catchment area for us and then looked at what we wanted , we found a plot and put a deposit down then I went around lots of show homes.. then went in and chatted to the builders .. out of quite a few two got what we didn't want ( for us it was a huge house on a small plot ) I love the older suburbs as I hate being in my neighbours house ! But we are building with other requirements right now .

Out of the two we chose, New Generation as they really listened and also the rep in the show home was great , she advised us to cost everything in before signing anything and going to pre start which you do during the build to choose all the fixtures and fittings . most people she said signed the contract and headed off to pre start had a very big bill for all of those extras they were unaware of needing or wanting .

look at what the builders are offering and think of Quality for your money .. look at reviews etc and remember the show home is not what you are getting .. unless you are rolling in it ! we are building a home based on their show home and have had a full turn key package still lower priceed than the show home .. you can build a bit like pick and mix , add all you need or want !

Ill let you know how its goes

  4. I've spoken to a few people some slate it, some like it ... typical . Apparently we get a phone line that's like voipe ? not sure how its spelt or anything about it . Tbh were so into building schedules and other stuff its at the bottom of to do list :) Are you building there ?

  5. Kalamunda has a market on the first Saturday at the beginning of each month ( so once a month), everything from craft stalls to food, cheeses, cakes, meat, veg, plants, animal beds, handmade jewellery, olive oils, dukka, biscotti. Then there is the farmers market on every Sunday morning, fresh cheeses, etc....not in the same league, as the UK markets but still worth a trip up to the hills to enjoy. Make sure you check out Collodels Ice Cream while you are up visiting!

Forgot that one ! used to live there as well .. hehe

  6. Well I am not a royalist , but I do like them . And has has been mentioned a lot do work for charity ( yes there are a few hangers on ! ) and the tourism they bring into the country .
