4.5 years and still counting the wobbles ! Not sure why I know some lovely people , I love it here . So what gives.. I sometimes feel I have a piece off my jigsaw missing .
My husband likes it here and doesn't even want to go back for a holiday ... My daughter has lived here longer than England .
I sometimes worry about myself .. My dad once said I had gypsy in my blood, I do think it's true. I could up and move if it wasn't for stability for my daughter . I would love to try over East and NZ.
The things I miss From England would seem silly to some people , mostly I think it's people sickness I like both for very different reasons .. I know one thing , we have been very lucky to have the chance to come here and do what so many would if they could .

The only hard ones as I am aware are HSBC as there is only one in Booragoon and One in Perth . which is a treck if you need to go in , most suburbs have banks , or the next one will .

wow , that 8 months went by fast ! hope your settling
We decided to stop the presents , for us it was a link to the families we left behind and trying to to stay a part off ... so difficult . i'm the only one who sends cards .
I would rather spend the money on my daughter here and when and if we go back treat others .
We take the family out for meals and trips etc when they come over here , well the ones that do ..

I just bought a new winter queen duvet for 100$ in a sale should have been 200$ . personally I think buy those there ! as mentioned above kmart do them for 20$ though ok for summer not enough for winter when it gets cold , spotlight do the best ranges of bedding linen etc . And its more expensive for the higher thread count etc also Duvets aren't rated in tog here .

seriously ... do they make marmite ice cream ?
-
I think every one should realise they are not walking in your shoes Elfie . we all have our own opinions on things , a bit like marmite !
Struth , the thought of sending a PM to enforce a view on some one is ridiculous . I have a love hate relationship with Australia .. but to me that's ok. I have friends who don't even want to go back to their homelands ... not even for a holiday, My DH is one who doesn't. Live and let live folks , life's way too short !
Right off to walk my dogs in the beautiful winter sunshine ..

Really decent winter duvets !!! they are extortionate here and not warm enough ..

Just a thought , even if they did take you at Baldivis .. if you lived in SH you would have to drive them . There isn't a school bus service and I don't think there is a bus from SH to Baldivis school direct .

Check with your shippers .. you can buy it here.. we use it in hairdressing .

Hi,
dysons are really expensive here. I bought a brand new dc40 animal for £200 in the UK, unpacked it and put it in the container. It's now out at sea on its merry way to us and should arrive at the end of may. I'm also a huge Henry fan and bought a new one of those too. So my container has ended up with 3 hoovers in it. The dyson, my new Henry and also my old Henry which I cleaned with a toothbrush and has come up like new. Bit of a Hoover obsessive!!! Sad, I know!
I brought two Dyson's with me as well ! Hehe ... I find Henrys are not as good with pet hair .. love Dyson !

Dunsborough rail carriages and cottages. It's a great place to stay for both kids and dogs. I have been a few times and booked in for the Anzac weekend. It's great. They have 2 standard cottages, about 6 rail carriages and 3 luxury cottages as well as a huge farmhouse. Check it out: http://www.dunsborough.com/
