The roach family
Hey all! I wondered if I could get some advice from you guys....My husband has been living in Perth for over 10 weeks now on a 457 visa. Despite us not being with him he is absolutely loving it and cannot wait for us to join him! We have finally had confirmation from his company today that our visas (myself and our daughter) will begin processing! Yay! I wondered if anyone knows the current waiting/processing guidelines for the spouse and dependant to be put on his 457 visa. As I said, he has been over there for over 10 weeks so it's just the additionals (myself and daughter) to be put on there. I know each case is different but if this helps, we all have the same names, no convictions and good Medical history. Our daughter is under 5 too. Thanks in advance guys! ali
I'm sorry I don't know - normally the dependents are included in the original application I think.

Yes as above, very unusual way to go about things, most families all get the visa together so there won't be much to compare to. At a guess, it will take about the same time as his original visa did (except the nomination bit). So anything from a week to a couple of months if you are unlucky, I daresay. The roach family
Tell me about it! My hubby had to do a 3 month period before our relocation was permitted! Silly way to do it as it's having to go through the same process again! Its so stressful as we are unaware of how long the period will take along with having to pack up and sort things in the uk side!
Don Moran
Hello all, just about to embark on something pretty similar, the shortish term route out seems to be a 457 while duel applying for a 189/190 visa. Agreed it's pretty stressful but we are convinced it will be worth it. my latest info is a 457 is between 4-6 weeks and a 189/190 is 8-12 months. wrapping up life in the UK seems to be more of the challenge than anything...any hints & tips will be greatly appreciated thanks
