domone
Hi, After missing out on a job, resigning ourselves to coming out in a few months etc - a job has come out of the blue for us. We now have just under a month to book containers etc. Does anyone have a checklist of 'stuff' to be done on arrival? Like driving licence transfer, medicare registration? I seem to be pretty aware of what to do to get out there but not so hot on arrival.

verystormy
If you have pr visas, then you have 3 months to change your driving license. It is a pretty painless thing though worth doing asap as it is used for a lot of ID checks. Medicare registration.
domone
How does that 3 months thing for driving licence work? We have PR but visited in Feb to activate it but as we were in hotels for a week at a time didnt do any of that stuff.
verystormy
It is 3 months from a permanent move. However, I really would get it asap.
