stu4668
Does anyone know of any reasonable priced short term rentals, approx 2 weeks, possibly NOR but would consider anything if not too far from CBD (say 30kms) Ideally we would need a property big enough to accomdate 6 (4 bedrooms) any suggestions? . we havnt booked flights yet but was looking at around 20th December to Jan 5th. Have a look on Stayz.com you may be able to negotiate a weekly price I have noticed flight prices are through the roof during december!!!! cheapest so far Heathrow to Perth £1400 each we need to validate before end of feb 2014 and we are tied to school holidays, thought it would be nice to have christmas in the sunshine. Why dont DIAC just let you go to the embassy in the country you reside to validate your visas?

The thing is, that not only is it Christmas but it's the start of the long summer school holidays so everything will be expensive accommodation wise until the go back in February. My dad and in-laws usually come in Novemeber as it's cheaper
SJT
Hi, we came to validate our visas on the back of the English October half term and the school agreed to allow us to do this as we explained why were going and it was classed as special circumstances. We had a brilliant time. it was a great to see lots of school children doing work outside the class room (you can't do that everyday in England). It was also good to see how Perth felt outside of summer and when everyone was going about doing their usual stuff. We also had the pick of rentals so we could chose where we wanted to be, not just where there was availability.
stu4668
We experienced Perth during Winter August 2012 so would really like to see it at its hottest. The thought of a warm christmas sounds quite appealing. will have to see what is available and what flight costs are
