Anyone with young children living in Success/Atwell/Aubin Grove or surrounding areas?

Hi there,

We're planning on making the big move in September this year (me, hubby and our 2 boys aged 7 and 5). We have started looking at prices of rentals and there is a HUGE difference in price and what you get as you already know. We're not entirely sure what areas such as Success, Atwell, Aubin Grove and surrounding areas are like so wanted to get your opinion if that's ok. The rental prices in these areas are considerably less than other areas we like.

I just wanted to know if anyone with young children live around these areas and what they think about the areas. Also are the kids happy living here and what kind of things/activities can they do here? Things that are important to us is being near a good school for the boys, being based not too far from the train line so we can get into the CBD for work. Also, do you know how long it would take to get to the nearest beach from here? We love the beach so would hopefully be going quite often. Also are there any decent parks/lakes that we can go to?

Thanks for reading. Looking forward to hearing from you

Hi gypsey -I don't know too much about the suburbs you mention personally, but can tell you that the Mandurah-Perth train line is close to all those suburbs and there is a new station currently being built at Aubin Grove - not sure when it is to be opened though.

http://www.det.wa.edu.au/schoolsonline/home.do is the link to the Dept of Education website that will give you info about the schools in the area.

Not sure about the travel time to the beach, but looking at the map, would hazard a guess at 15 - 20 mins.

Hopefully someone will come along soon and be able to give you more specific info.

Thank you Rossmoyne for your comments and thank you for supplying the link for the schools. It's really good of you and I'll definitely take a look at it.

I had no idea about the new train station being built at aubin grove. It's very good news!

Cheers

All the best.
