car hire when we arrive which car

Arriving to perth in a few months,will be buying a car,but not right away will hire a car for first couple of weeks to allow us to drive about looking for a car and also our long term rental,there will be myself,wife and out at the time of travel 10 month old girl,we will probably have a suitcase each,hand luggage each this includes the baby and also a foldable buggy that folds into a bag,very compact,and a car seat we used to travel over on the plane,so only three passengers but probably plenty of luggage as we will be moving.

Anyone recommend a veichle that would be suitable for us and what we might have with us,yes would be ideal if we did not have to get a hire and just purchased right away but dont want to rush into it and by the time we find one get insurance etc two weeks on our rental will probably be enough.

 

Was thinking of maybe a suv?
