Oh and listening to Coast fm. On the DIAC side of things, how much of a nightmare is that site! I completed our application on New Years Eve and paid by card, and just as I hit submit the site froze! Took me two days to get back on thinking I had to put the payment through again, only to find that it had gone through and we were being told to book our medicals (next Friday 11th in Manchester). Crazy. Now I've managed to upload all my documents and evidence but cant upload for the rest of the family. Ah well, hopefully in a months time this will all be as trivial as it sounds to those who are already there! Anyway thanks again. Take care C.

Hello, Well we have finally made it arrived in Mandurah just over a week ago, have nearly got a long term rental, thats a stressful process just on its own....we have completely changed our plans and are now looking in Mariners Cove Dudley Park. We have two children aged 5 and 8 and would like to start making friends down here, if anyone fancies a meet. Also trying to sort work hours out accomodating the kids without having a support network, does anyone know of any breakfast clubs in Mandurah? Do they have them? Michelle

Hi Steve I know where you are coming from I have an email from immi in London saying we can work anywhere then got told it is wrong. I contacted Wa and they said no and referred me back to their announcement on their site. I can't copy and paste as on my phone. It's vevery confusing but also in the link it does only refer to family sponsored not state sponsored and a big risk if we don't follow the rules when it comes to converting to PR. I am with go Matilda and Alan collet has confirmed it's a no too. It may be worth asking immi in oz to confirm so as there is something in writing. Just wanted to pass on what I have been advised. So please don't think I am being rude when are you off by the way and where are you heading? Michelle

Hi Perth is only regional for family sponsored visas, if you are state sponsored the original clause applies so living in Perth not an option. It is on the WA website. Bad news as we were hoping it would apply to us. Michelle

Hi egor, I know what you mean I have an email from immigration in London to say we can work in Perth. However my agent has confirmed that we can't same as WA. Confused! I think I will mail immigration in oz and see what they say. I will let you know, not holding out much hope. Michelle

Hi have a look on the Wa migration site it confirms it there. I don't see the point of excluding us I thought they were desperate for workers?? Michelle

Hi just an update it appears the immigration sent me the wrong information, as we are state sponsored on a 475 we are still not allowed to live in Perth itself. Details are on the WA website. Michelle

Hi Guys Great news i got confirmation in writing from Immi today that we can now live anywhere including Perth. Whooo Hoooo! We are on a 475 state sponsored visa. Probably still live in Mandurah but it opens up so many more work opportunities.

Hi just an update this does not apply to the 475 visa, bad news so having to live regional still stands. It is only applicable to the employer sponsored visa. Have checked with our agent who confirmed this.RegardsMichelle

Hi we too are coming in November on a 475. I have contacted WA to see if this is applicable to our visa class as it may just be for the RSMS scheme. I will post their repsonse when i get it, fingers crossed though. Michelle
