Hi would you mind if I asked which schools you have decided to put your children into. We are trying to decide on seascapes or Madora bay. We are looking at senior and junior schools. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi. I'm looking forward to any good advise. We are moving the end of September and my biggest concern is finding a school for my 14 year old son. I just want him to settle in a school in the Mandurah area. I've looked on the my school website but feel we need to view to get a true feel of the school.

Hi, well it is about 6 weeks til we arrive in Perth and therefore feeling a little nervous and last minute worries about the cost of living. I have looked at the forum but am looking for an up to date cost of living for a family of four, 2 adults, teenager and 10 year old. Also is there a standard % which you take off your gross salary per month/year?? which would give me an idea about what we would have left to spend on a monthly basis. Thanks for all your help x

Hi. Just trying to plan for our move to Perth. My current issue is what can I do with current bank accounts. I would like to keep it open to allow our regular phone contract charges to continue to be paid until contract ends. So is it possible to have an open UK bank account even though living in Australia? Hi everyone and anyone who can help. We are moving over in September on a 457 visa, therefore we will need private health insurance. So looking for advice about who to get the insurance with and what level to get? Also while I'm on here, does anyone know anywhere to get short term rental for when we arrive. Hopefully only for a few weeks while finding a longer term rental in the Mandurah area. Thanks

Hi, great news I have received my Notice of in principle approval of nursing registration subject to proof of identity from AHPRA. However not sure what this means. Can we now apply for 457 visa or do I have to go to AHPRA to present proof of identity in Perth before I can apply. How long do you have to present yourself to AHPRA as the date they have put on the email today is yesterday's date but wondering if they meant 11 March 2016. Please can anyone help. Thanks

Also are you applying for nursing registration. Ahpra are slow at processing application.Keep having to send more documents!!!!

I agree about the commute but we have friends who live in Busselton and so want to be close to them. Any my job offer is in Nedlands, so we are trying to base ourselves half way so we hopefully have the best of both worlds. Its a hard decision to make. And my main focus is on my two boys being happy where they live and go to school.

Hi this might help us out too. We are hoping it will be Sept/October for us too. We live in Nottingham so not far away from you. It may work for both of us. Have you found a good company and prices yet. Its on my list to start looking at, we have a fair bit of stuff but not sure how much.

I am waiting to get my nursing registration before applying for a 457 visa. What are 457 visas like? I hope to look at PR once we have settled. Is there any advice which you would like to pass on about the 457 visa.

I will be working in Nedlands area. I know it will be a bit if a drive but we really liked mandurah when we visited in dec 14. We have a lot to sort, a house and schooling is the main priority.
