your timeline shows your visa was granted fairly quickly....very well done! did you have your medicals before been requested for them? we are hoping to have our visa lodged by end of next week fingers crossed ours gets granted quickly too! congratulations!!!!

just to advise anyone that has an agent.....either dont bother or constantly ring them!!! very disappointed today as i rang immi to see what the hold up was in sending us the email to sign for SS and they said they sent an email requesting some info to our agent on monday 5th august and when i phoned agent yesterday they said there had been no coreespondence. we have sorted the issue now but from now on i will be ringing immi to check the progress!

hubby is already in perth on WHV and has secured full time position, thankfully!

i really do think they are trying to put people off! hopefully we will have ours in by then. Its been our dream for so long and we have spent so much money already that we have to go forward with it.

wow that is super quick!! well done! i have read other posts that state you can book your medicals once you have the TRN number as booking them before they are requested saves about 2 weeks+ waiting. When we lodge ours I think I am going to book our medicals and i know they use the date of the medical to validate visa etc but we are ready to go straight away literally just need the visa grant as my hubby is already in perth!

Hi, After submitting our EOI, we had correspondence back on the 31/07/2013 that they were looking at it etc. Does anyone know how long it can take for them to decide whether they want to offer you SS? We are going for the 190 visa.

hi, my hubby is a carpenter and we have just submitted an EOI for the 190 visa with 60 points. we submitted it 25/07/2013 and we had correspondence today that they are looking at it so now we are just waiting for an invite for SS. Not sure how long this takes though?

My husband is currently in Perth looking for a carpentry job or something similiar in surrounding areas. I am still in the UK with our three children and we are in the process of a permanent residency visa. My husband went out ahead of us to secure a job but so far hasnt come up with anything and has some very mixed views about the current job market. Any advice on which are the best suburbs to go looking etc and if the work is actually there at all would be most appreciated please. Thanks very much
