pete@cheryl
Hi all My wife and two boys age 11 and 13 are wanting to move to perth this year from Lincoln UK , My wife was born in Australia so I don't need a skill to move out. I am currently a HGV class 1 driver in the UK and i would like to carry on driving in perth , I have been told that the UK HGV licence is not valid in Australia, can anybody tell me if i would have to start from the beginning again and time and cost of tests ? We know we can come to Australia without work but i would need to know that i could get a job after a month of arriving and driving is what i want to do . We are unsure where about in perth we want to be so any good ideas of a nice place to live close to good secondary schools ? Our house is not for sale yet because we need to be certain it is the rite move for our family, has anyone made the move with children of a similar age and if so was it a good move ? Any advice would be welcome thanks pete.
verystormy
Give these guys a call. http://www.driverhire.com.au/ They are the Oz branch of the agents in the UK and do post on here occasionally.
