no1mum
Hi, I have been working my way through all the forum threads re: internet service providers and I am still confused. We are moving into a house in Connolly next week, we are new customers as been in rented with all the tv, phone and internet included in rental costs. Looking for bundle for tv, phone and internet, but there is a significant price difference between iinet and Telstra. Both companies have initially said service available to the new address, and we don't the internet for much more than Skype to uk and daughter streams music/movies etc, but cant make out the difference between Foxtel and the iinet equivalent. Any upto date advice or experiences would be appreciated thanks, need to order it tomorrow if poss.

No problems whatsoever and would highly recommend.
Arwen
Although I have Foxtel directly with Foxtel. I wouldn't touch Telstra with a 10 foot barge pole.

no1mum
hi Arwen, took your advice, got foxtel independently and took units home same day and installed and running great, internet and phone took 2 weeks with iinet as last owner did not give notice to disconnect! That being said, service received was excellent, and having aired my frustrations to iinet, they made me a priority and within 24 hours of phone line connection I had a tech here installing all devices. I had an agreed time phone call from iinet two nights prior and tonight checking all ok. If anybody else looking for feedback, I would def recommend iinet following the service I have received so far.

no1mum
Well look out this weekend, we have the BBC here all weekend, as we are part of a tv show on uk tv, so camera and sound team will be lurking. I couldn't believe it when it was verge collection this next week, typical lol. Give me a knock and say hi when passing, would be nice to know a neighbour. Was planning on popping around to a few and saying hi, but have been full on since moving in 2 weeks ago, and the same this weekend!! #They are even filming us on location at Mindarie on sat pm, (that's not gonna be busy is it!) no1mum
We stayed in Scarborough in 2012 when activated our visas. The show placed us down south as an alternative option last year when we flew out with them. Although activating visas I was unsure about leaving sons in Uk, as neither were on our visa and younger son was still living at home with us which compounded the decision making. When we arrived end of March we rented in Heathridge initially and was waiting to see where we got work. Was very lucky as all found work NOR, so on week 2 decided this is where we wanted to be. Was not expecting to buy quite so quickly as only viewed house to see what was on offer for money on day 10 of being in Perth, but loved the location and house, so just went for it! no1mum
I am guessing, a wanted down under and I think I can picture you if it is. Glad you are there and settled nice area Connelly love the golf course place . Yep you guessed right. We already had our visa and had come out in 2102 to activate, but as one son still living at home and the other only just left for first time to live with girlfriend, was unsure if I could make the move and leave them in UK without any support (grandparents were not on scene much of my life let alone the grandkids), so was a really tough decision. Applied for the show, to show us more options financially eg work and housing etc. Decision was made as a eldest son got married just before and younger son decided he was going to try and follow with girlfriend. This weekend was about the revisted show to be aired in UK next feb. We did not go on show for free holiday or fame, but for info and it really helped us a oh actually had a job offer on back of the filming, and showed younger son some options. Glad all the filming over now, and the worst part is just coming to the decision and having the balls to follow it through. Our lives have been on hold for quite a few years as took 4 years to get visa to activation, then another 2 years until we got here. Starting to live our lives now, looking for the rebuild and to form new networks and friendships. I know this will take time, but hey , that's what we got now. Connolly seems to tick all the boxes for us so looking forward to being part of the community.
