BuntyStoops
Hi all, My wife and I are emigrating to to western Australia on the 5th of November 2014. My wife is the main applicant. I am a qualified mechanic in the Uk with 8 years experience, I have been looking at jobs on line and most say the words "must be trade qualified". I have searched around a bit but have not been able to find out where and how I can get trade qualified. I do not know what is involved in getting qualified other than a technical interview?so any light you can shed on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any information. realitynotincluded
Hi there Firstly if you did your full apprenticeship.... paper work to prove this.... then any further certificates you have achieved.... references from and payslips of proof where you worked..... you used to be able to apply for a TRA..... but this has shut down since oct 14 and will now be TRS http://www.tradesrecognitionaustralia.gov.au/News/Pages/Australian-Recognised-Trade-Certificate-programme-has-closed.aspx this site will tell you what its all about. you might have some luck once you are here finding a job but you will be limited and most will tell you that you need to get any qualifications transferred to aussie... good luck in your new journey to perth Hi all, My wife and I are emigrating to to western Australia on the 5th of November 2014.
