ali Posted April 10, 2013 Report Share Posted April 10, 2013 You don't have to pay fees for state schooling on a 457, however, you will need to get the personal items list - pens, pecils folders etc., you'll find that after the first year there will be a lot of things that you can use again. There's usually a P&C contribution to the school either per child or family, there'll be excursions etc. There may be additional costs e.g. my son played electric guitar for 3 years at primary and we paid $110 a term for lessons and plus there was a contribution for music scores for band.
