Hi, really good update. We have now been here 7mths & things are just starting to settle down. The kids love it with is a relief, they have lots of friends & I think it is just a wonderful country to raise children in there's so much for them to do. Where are you working, how is your first week going?

We have finally arrived in Oz after years of planning, we are all loving it but my 16yr old son is missing his beloved football. Does anybody know of any teams not too far from the Singleton area.

Yes It's me my hubby & 2 children aged 16 & 12. I only have a week before I start work full time, which is probably the best way I won't get in holiday mode then.

I'm sooo excited & very nervous, we fly to our new life on Saturday morning. I can't believe how quickly this has come about.

Yes I have got a job as a Midwife, my AHPRA registration was not back but I knew it was going to panel so was at the final stages. Yes it looks like all Midwives will have to undergo a period of supervised practise & Fiona Stanley are happy to facilitate this. The level of supervision is assessed at interview if you are quite an experienced Midwife then I think the supervision is minimal, suppose you will just have to prove your compantancies. If you need anything just let me know, fingers crossed we are nearly there just have to have our medicals and then hopefully the visa will be approved. I didn't use a agent and found the process pretty straight forward, need all the money you can get to get over there. Xx Yes Rebecca I'll look forward to meeting up when we get over there. Xx

Hi all, wondering if anybody can please put my mind at rest??? We have applied and paid for 190 visa but not yet got a case officer. Next step will be the medicals which I really want to get out of the way but after attending an Australian Expo in march I fell and broke my humerous which required a plate and pins (yes I am the clumsiest person I know:wacko:), I had the op on the 9/4/15. I have probably got about 75% mobility in that arm now and will be going back to work in 2 wks. Will this cause a problem on my medical and should I wait until I have a bit more mobility? Thank you in advance. xx
