I dont do Messenger, but am will to give out my mobile phone no, there and then. I sometimes sound like I digested a dictionary, I love looking things up , and helping find things. I was always the one when we went fishing, sitting down untangling the hand held lines, so untangling things patiently, and listening to people has been a lifetime experience to me. While you are over here if someone invites you to a bbq, accept all invites, (within reason of course) because its who you know that gets you jobs in this state, and how persistent you are that helps. And you are usually expected to take your own grog, ( if its beer an d you wish to try something I can recommend the Carlton Cold, if your not used to drinking beer, it gives you less of a hangover) and your meat for cooking,(steak, sausages, or chops {cutlets] ) or else take your hostess a big bunch of flowers, and a box of chocolates.

good luck with the exams, and Perth people are sometimes friendly, mostly they are. but it depends on their ages, Me I`m old, and from the country areas, so used to making friends with a lot of people. I`m not a POM, am all Australian , with daughters in other states. My youngest grandson is a POM having been born last September. My middle daughter has lived in London about 5 years! She works for Lifeways charities, you may know about them. I don`t! My mother -in-law came from Grimsby in the 1950s, so I have got used to the accents.
