Were 27 really friendly and love going out for meals and drinks. I would also love a new group of girlfriends as I left all mine behind in England we are only 15 mins in car from city centre too so let me know if anyone is interested in meeting up! We moved here just over 2 years ago from Surrey in the UK. Are you working in Perth? I work in the CBD. It is hard to meet people and certainly make friends like the ones you probably had in the UK. We do have a little boy who is about to turn 1, but despite that are still keen to go out and socialise, we are lucky to have some family here who babysit for us. so if you wanted to meet for a drink let me know. I do have a friend in recruitment but i don't think her office deal with teachers. i can ask if she knows anyone that does. Ardross street is not far from me at all. I work monday and tuesday but could meet either thursday or friday morning if you wanted. Can do to a coffee place on Ardross street, they have a few in the parade of shops. Skit78 Posted September 7, 2014 Report Share Posted September 7, 2014 Hi, applecross is a great area, we have just moved from kintail rd to south perth, my wife is a teacher and found it difficult to find work, and had to do adim work just to get some money coming in. Then she met some one who gave her cv to some one in a school and was phoned for one day relief teaching, and they offered her a job after that day. Have you been around to schools to hand out you're cv. Anyway we go to clancy's bar on the canning some fri/sat nights my wife's 31 and I'm 36 can always catch up for a beer or two one weekend.
