Alanlisa
Hi pip's, we are hoping to land NOR when we arrive. Can anyone give any first hand recommendations, where to avoid etc [emoji4]
annjean
Hi, I am NOR and I love it hear near the beach, shops, station, drive to anywhere from here but you are best to come and look around for yourselves as everyone has different needs and you have people judging areas that they do not live in and putting them down when there are lots of people happy living in these areas. You will see other posts on here regarding the subject. Beautiful places North and South, you just have to look for what's best for you and your family, schools, work etc. There would be pockets everywhere where you may want to avoid just like anywhere else in the world. But you be the judge of that.

Daveakaginge
Carramar, it's a golf course estate, with good access to shops, buses, train station eight minutes away, doctors, dentist, one of the best pre Schools in the area, quiet, and ten minutes from Burns beach. What's not to like. My next door is for sale Edited June 2, 2015 by Daveakaginge

Alanlisa
I understand that it is a political subject [emoji57] It's good to hear people's experiences good and bad so I have a list of places to look at before we arrive [emoji4]
Druid
The great 'North South' divide, I have lived both NOR & SOR, prefer NOR! But you have to draw a line and that line for me is the Joondalup Shire north border
Alanlisa
I've been looking for a map which shows all of the suburbs off so I can start crossing ones off but I can't find one!

Scot01
http://www.viacorp.com/perth-suburbs-compared.html how important to you are schools, beach, river, sea breeze, new house or old house, big block or small, commute to work, near a station? No one is going to say I live here and it's bad, everyone will tell you where they live is great so really you have to work it out.
Scot01
Here are the medium house prices - avoid the cheapest areas - http://reiwa.com.au/the-wa-market/perth-suburbs-price-data/
