Horsemad1976
Anyone every shipped a hot tub over? We have a full container and are exploring the possibility of shipping our hot tub over in a 'Move Cube' or something similar. Are they any good? Not sure whether to upgrade from 20ft container to 40ft Sole Use just to have space for the hot tub or whether a 'move cube' type thing would work for just the hot tub and stick with the 20ft container... FOL
Check gumtree.com.au to see if hot tubs are for sale and for how much. It's quite common over here. Would tou really bother id you can buy a used one here ? (Check yourself if that's the case though). Secondly, does it meet Australian standards? Horsemad1976
oooohhhhh I don't know about Australian standards.... It's less than 2yrs old & cost quite a few £ks. It's probably going to be too complicated but thought I would ask in case someone had managed to do it (successfully) and if they had would they bother to do it again! ali
Depending on size - you possibly would have to have it fenced.
Horsemad1976
Ahhhh ok. Regulations I haven't got my head around yet along with everything else lol. 2.5m x 2.5m x 1m Deep.... We've offered it to the purchasers of our house - fingers crossed they want it!
ali
Certainly worth looking up the regulations and safety standards. Not heard of anyone shipping one or if your shipment would come under extra scrutiny at customs because of it.
FOL
Anything with water more than a foot (300mm) deep needs to be fenced. So a spa without a doubt as well, unless you just want to use it for your feet
dunnyboy
it wont meet Australian standards either if electric or gas heated, so nobody will be able to fit it, a tub around the size is roughly $16 to $18000.
Lauren & Luke
@Horsemad1976 Hi Just wondering if you have an update on your post? Did you manage to ship your hot tub or didn't you bother? Lauren
