jamesw
Having been here 4 years now, I remember how it felt when you get here and don't know anyone. So, would anyone be interested in meeting up? I would happily host a BBQ one evening and invite all newbies (and oldies) to visit and socialise and hopefully everyone will get to meet new friends and idea's on their futures. I live in the Mandurah area, and just seeing how many would be interested before going ahead with this.

Tia2
Hi Jamesw, you have given me some good advice over the last couple of months about SOR. We would love to meet up at a BBQ or something similar. However, we are not there until December. You never know, if enough people are interested maybe we could set up a monthy bbq at different houses and invite new and old people along the way? jamesw
Its something that wouldn't be done until the new year anyway, just wanted to see if there was any interest in it.
ali
That's really good of you - In the past meets have been at places like Kings Park (so that it's pretty central) and to let the kids can play and you can take a picnic or BBQ stuff. The Foreshaw at Mandurah has also been popular. A couple of times some of the girls have met up for a drink in the City.
Guest LestaGal1987
I'd be interested. I have been here 7 years in June, but I'm always looking for new friends.

jamesw
Ok, I have had quite a large response to this idea both on this thread and private messages, so as soon I get my shift patterns from work sorted out and wait for others to arrive, I'll find a Saturday or Sunday afternoon that is suitable and arrange this.
