Only thing is,the job hunt does not seem to be going anywhere, do you think its beacuse we have no WA experience? Or are things slowing down? Chris is an accountant and i drive diggers. cheers. Oh yea,and Perth is wonderful:biggrin:
Guest guest1337
Bad timing as much as anything! It's nearly Christmas etc, but things have definitely slowed on the employment front, also there seems a lot of who you know not what you jobs here! Just keep plugging away and things will happen. Don't forget the golden rule WA stands for wait awhile or wait ages, and not Western Australia!!!!!!!! Lol
blr2wa
Facing the same situation, not enough of office jobs, trying to get odd jobs is also not working out great, hopefully by Jan, things would change:unsure:
verystormy
Perth is notorious for slowing recruitment at this time of year. Most companies dont hire between end of November and begining of February. There is also a significant slowdown in the economy due to mining slowing
Si T
Accountancy recruitment seems to have died in the last few weeks. It hasn't helped that a number of contractors were laid off by some of the mining companies around September. Traditionally accountancy recruitment goes quiet at Christmas and in the summer and here we have both at the same time. From my conversations with recruiters it should start to pick up in January.
