My husband is a metal fabricator and we used an agent for the skills assessment and then we did the rest without. We were very lucky and had no issues it all went really smoothly and quickly! However an agent is worth the money for peace of mind. Any questions please feel free to ask, we've been looking to go to Australia for 8years so have learnt a lot!

They might request it, we completed it anyway as we didn't want it to slow the visa down and we got granted ours today I would just do it, it takes about 45mins but then it's done x

Oh no I was hoping we wouldn't have to wait long, have you submitted everything and heard from your CO? Hubby emailed ours yesterday to say everything is up she asked for so was hoping it wouldn't be long, we're keeping busy and saving x

We're sat waiting for our visa too, it's like torture! We won't be going till next year but have lots to sell and organise so I'm sure it'll fly by!

How is everyone getting on with their visa application? We have submitted everything and we have a CO we are just literally waiting now, it's torture!! X

Today went brill, total cost for 2 adults and 2 children was £710. Would highly recommend Medmigration in Manchester, they were brill, they have already uploaded the kids docs and ours should be up asap and they will brilliant with the kids. We've also received our police certificates today so they are now uploaded

We put our expression of interest in on 28th December and we got invited 21st January, we started the whole process in September. We've got our Medicals today and we've just been assigned a case officer who has asked for the Medicals and police check which we are waiting to be delivered, sooooo excited!!! X

We pay on the day but looks to be £700/800 depending on which tests they do, will let you know x

We've booked at Medmigration, seen good reviews so fingers crossed it will all be fine! Hopefully one of the last hurdles X

Oh I didn't know they had, how long have people been waiting? Might just do ours on Wednesday after Medicals.

We've just put all our docs in for a 189 visa and after reading this I have added the Form 80 just to be on the safe side!

The document upload page has loaded up with a list of recommended documents to attach, all of which have already been attached however one is the police check, am I best just getting this done now with our medicals being done on Wednesday or am I being impatient and I should wait to have them requested? Sam x

We have submitted our visa and documents, just checked the page today, we haven't heard anything about being assigned a case officer however its updated with an area to do our medical assessments so I guess we just get on with it? x
