Hi we had our Visas granted yesterday also, It will be interested to share things on here in our preparations to move. We are going in November this year. Lots to do but very exciting!

Thank you for the congratulations. The plan is now to start looking for jobs. We are planning to go at the end of November. We are house-sitting for some friends in Joondalup for 5 weeks over christmas whilst they return to the UK to visit their families. This gives us the perfect opportunity to find a rental, sort out schools etc over christmas and hopefully start work at the start of the new year. We have been monitoring flights prices and I expect we will book flights in the very near future. I have a couple of work contacts I am very keen to speak to. Thank you for the congratulations! It feels like a massive weight has been taken off of my shoulders! We are so excited, talk has already turned to booking flights, shipping, job searches, rentals etc etc!!! What have we done to celebrate... um... we've been to parents evening at the school lol!!!!! Our son's teacher knows we are going and was very positive about it which was nice. I have some important meetings over the next couple of days but we are having a BBQ with some close friends to celebrate on friday evening!! Its probably something to do with the IT problems DIAC have been having this last week. Its all to do with the massive increase in applications due to people trying to beat the 1st July price increase. As its the 1st July tomorrow I'm guessing it will all go back to normal. At least I hope so we're waiting on our visa decision! Best of luck to you anyway. Oh btw, I believe you can still book a medical. Just phone the clinic you want to attend and give them your TRN number and they can locate you on the e-medical system. They had my name spelt incorrectly and I still managed to complete my medical.

Hi, We are in exactly the same position. we had our meds cleared on 25th June. Everything else is in place, there is nothing outstanding. When we were assigned our CO he stated that he wanted to finalize our case by 30th June so we had hoped we would have heard by now. There have been huge IT problems caused by the volume of applications this week by people trying to beat the price increases and the system crashed. We are assuming that our CO has been unable to finalize our case due to this. The DIAC don't work weekends so we are hoping that everything is back running by Monday and he can give us our decision, I expect you are in the same boat as us. Good luck hope you hear soon.

Application submitted on 2nd June, CO allocated on 18th June, so 16 days. Ours is a 190 visa.

Our 6 year old had a medical. Just no blood test or X-ray.

The rule of thumb is that we are all supposed to wait for the CO to request the meds and police checks. People front load these documents just to speed the process up. As far as getting the documents in within 28 days is concerned, as long as you can prove you have arrange the meds or sent the police checks then the CO is fine with that, as long as you are making progress towards obtaining the documents. Just send off receipts or booking confirmations if its getting close to the 28 days. If you want the maximum amount of time then wait for the CO to request them, thats fine. Hope this helps.

Yeah you have to enter Australia to validate your visa within 12 months of the visa issue or the medical exam whichever is earliest. If you havent had your medicals yet you should be fine for June 2014. good luck with your application.

We had word today that our medical results had been uploaded too. Hopefully we will hear soon!

If you have an agent then ask them to contact your CO and ask what the status of your application is. IT seems like you've been more than patient with the amount of time you've waited! Hope it all come s through quickly for you.

Just had an email from the Medical Centre saying our Medical results have been uploaded to e-medical. Now we are just waiting for the CO to decide!!!!!

Congratulations, all I can say is try not to think about it, but that's probably the most useless piece of advice ever!!
