  2. We submitted our Visa application on 2nd June. Weve uploaded all the documents. We have our medicals on saturday and we are waiting for our police checks to come back. We are hoping to have everything uploaded by the time we get our CO assigned. Its not even been 2 weeks yet and the waiting is terrible!
  3. Good idea, I've just made a nice little folder on my desktop with photo downloads from facebook.... just in case its requested!
  4. yeah ive seen loads of people front load the meds. You can access the form on the 190 visa. The only thing is that they may only be valid for 12 months but thats ok because we want to go late november! we have a house sitting opportunity for a month for some friends in joondalup who are returning back to the UK over xmas for a month so we want to take advantage of that. This will give us a great opportunity to sort our own rental and employment etc with the overheads. we've looked at mandurah. looks nice.
  5. hi, no meds are booked for the 15th. we have sent off for police checks. We only submitted our app on 2nd june and are waiting for a CO. We are front loading our meds and police checks in the hope it speeds up our application. We are on the 190 visa. Where are you looking at living and when are you off? Congrats again, I bet its a brilliant feeling.
  6. Congratulations!!! Not a bad start to the weekend! Which visa are you? When did you submit and meds & pccs etc?
  7. wow!!! that was under a month!!! congratulations you must be pleased!!! weve booked our meds and pcc's to front load them. hopefully when we get a CO all the required info will be there or at least on its way! edit: whoops just realise you had case officer on 25th april, so under 2 months!!!
  8. We've sent off the forms for our PCC today and booked our Medicals for 15th June. We're hoping that we can front load them both before we get a CO and then when we get our CO he/she will have everything they need. That's the theory anyway, whether in practice it will be as smooth we will wait and see. Still hoping they are fast tracking applications to bump up the numbers.
  9. That's the million dollar question! We lodged on the 2nd and the money has just gone out of my bank today 5th. They haven't responded to my agents email regarding the incorrect spelling of my surname which is starting to get worrying. Things seem to be happening sooner rather than later for others though so hopefully we will be one of the speedy ones... until then... we wait!!!
  10. wow that is fast, hope it continues to be speedy for you, and I hope we get a CO as quick as you!!
  11. Hi Jkm, It willl be good to hear your progress too. I have heard a rumour that they are speeding up applications before the July 1st deadline of their yearly quotas. So with a bit of luck our applications wont take too long!
  12. We've had an email from our Agent today to say that our application has been lodged with the Immigration department. So I though I would start this thread for others to join who have also had their applications lodged. It will be interesting to see when CO are assigned and Meds and Police Checks requested etc. I was hoping it would all run smoothly but my agent has already informed me my surname is mis-spelt on the application summary... not the best start!!! Looking forward to speaking to other June 190-ers!!
  13. A couple of months seems to be the norm then. I hope ours is as quick. congratulations
  14. We hope its a couple of months like yours and then aim to be out there at the end of november. We have an opportunity to house sit for some friends whilst they return to the UK for a month over christmas. This would give us the perfect opportunity to get ourselves sorted. when are you heading out?
  15. Congratulations!!!!! When did you submit your 190 app? I'm sure you've told me before but I cant find it anywhere!!
  16. congratulations. Weve been away for a week. we recieved confirmation that our state sponsorship acceptance had arrived. Our Agent started our visa application last friday and has posted some stuff to check and sign and pay!!! then i guess our visa app goes in.
  17. That would be great, I will let you know if we hear anything. Your agent seems a bit more forthcoming with the information than ours so any updates would be great. Cheers.
  18. Has anyone who had their SS approved recently actually received the invite yet? Ours was approved on 17th May and we haven't received the invite yet. Am I being too eager?
  19. We are using a migration agent and we have just had our SS approved. We have just sent back an agreement to confirm we agree to the conditions of the state sponsorship. when WA receive this they will send us an invitation to apply for the 190 visa on skill-select. Then I presume it will be an online form and when a CO is assigned he/she will ask for evidence of certain things such as qualifications, relationship evidence, birth certs, passports etc. all these documents need to be certified by a solicitor or notary public. Then they will ask for the Police checks and Medicals etc before approving the visa. As far as I understand you can upload documents before they are requested for the CO to view. We are hoping our agreement is waiting for them on Monday morning and we receive an invite the same day. We want to get the 190 application in as we are going away for a week on wed!
  20. It does feel a bit like that. We are using The Emigration Group. We have been trying to emigrate for a few years now, they took my occupation off the skills list, then it was a revised last year and they have merged two occupations so I needed a different assessment. Even though I was successful in both. Then my assessment expired so we needed a re-issue. Finally we have been accepted by WA and it all seems to be going somewhere. Are you going to be shipping everything out there? we are currently looking at containers, but its a bit of a minefield, with self packs, etc, we arent sure if its worth it. But then selling everything and buying new out there is also a big hassle. We just keep telling oureslves it will be worth it in the end.
  21. I have seen most people get their visas in a couple of months. Once we have our application in we are going to try and forget about it. Concentrate on looking at shipping stuff and rentals etc. Are you using an agent or doing it yourself?
  22. Congratulations, it seems like it was a good day for state sponsorship approvals yesterday. We had ours approved too along with a couple of others I've noticed. We arent sure where we will be heading. This will very much depenbd on the work. We would like to live in the Northern Suburbs. Joondalup as we have friends there or Butler, Alkimos etc. Everybody that has had state sponsorship apporoved recently should stay in touch and we can keep tabs on each others progress. When are you hoping to head out? we would like November time before the new school year starts in feb so we can get settled.
