Perth has hundreds of people who say they are djs ,normally to get on its not what you know but who you know ,i play in small bar in Rockingham soul music from 60s to 2013 its not a dance venue more chill out but do plays some 90s dance/house in last hour ,send a mix cd or soundcloud link to the venues but its not easy i tell ya !

Dadas is very expensive ,Safaris which is behind the florist shop is the most reasonable price wise ,stuff from 50s to new releases

We arrived in 2006 with $12,000 and a few belongings , we now earn around $140k a year between us & have no kids , with a mortgage ,2 car loans & credit cards. Id say if you have no job secured for your arrival you will need minimum 30k in your pocket to survive ,job market isnt what it was even just a year or so ago ,people move here all the time from overseas & the eastern states. People living in Uk are obviously fed up with crap weather etc but id say financially you may double your wage but you at least 2.5/3 x your expense except fuel. I wouldnt go back as im now an Aussie citizen but it i was earning 45k in UK would have to earn min 100k here to think about it !

Worked in Armadale for 6 months not the best of areas to be honest but affordable ,crime is in all areas not just the likes of Armadale Kwinana Rockingham etc , Byford is just out of Armadale newer area & not bad at all ,live where you can afford to live ,no point tryin to impress others ,we live in Bertram not the best of areas but we can easily afford our mortgage & i dont give a "donald duck" if anyone dislikes where i live

yeah cheap bottles about $5 or $6 is a good advantage of state league too !

sports bar at Casino is open 24/7 as far as i know.

standard of the state league isnt much worse than what Perth are dishing out at the minute ,saw one game of Floreat Athena and was a good atmoshphere there ,mainly because there was loads of noisy greeks shouting for their team

80k is a good wage in Perth ,seen as your single it will allow a decent lifestyle, some familys only get that so as an individual you will be fine

paradise lost SC is in perth ,full of poms as you would imagine

Hopefully you wil get assistance for your kids ,if $50-60k then you will be clearing maybe $8-900 a week, rent will be at least half that if you are renting , food prob $300 a week ,bills at least $100 a week ,petrol/travel another $75 a week so there is your wages gone already ,this is just facts & not meant to worry you ,personally id say a family would need at least double what you maybe earning to live ok ,not well off by any stretch of the imagination, if you can buy a house outright ,then you should be able to manage

Boags & Cascade are the better ones as they use spring water in the brewing process so not as bad as some of the nasty chemical stuff, ie VB ,Swan ,Emu etc etc
