clairebear999
I have just seen my first snake in Australia and it was in my back garden Freaking out just a little bit as it crawled under the house before I could do anything about it. It was very small so thinking it might have been a baby one. It had a pale green body and a black head. Does anyone know what kind of snake this is and should I be worried?? Dont think I will be able to let the kids out in the garden ever again!!
Plimthing
baby snakes are the worst as they aren't mature enough to control their venom when they bite, they inject everything they have in their system. Sorry it wasn't the answer you wanted to hear.
portlaunay
Where are you? It sounds like a Green Tree snake but I didn't think they came as far south as Perth. If it is one of those they're non-venomous and gorgeous little things, rarely bite and very common across the north and east but don't going probing around for it just in case. verystormy
It sounds to me like a black headed python. But if in doubt your local council will give the number of the local snake catcher
