Look fwd to hearing the rest of your plans and how the move goes. We've got our police checks back now.... And thankfully they came back clean as a whistle... Phew!!!! We are just sorting out our initial accommodation and then we will be booking our flights very soon. The job search is well and truly under-way also. We will keep you posted. The police checks are a relief arent they, even though you know you have done nothing wrong, there's always that worry until it comes back as clean! Glad you got the sunshine to celebrate there,hope you enjoy the BBQ :-). You've given yourself good time to prepare for the move and it will stand to you when you get here that you have the Golden PR ticket. Based near the casino in Burswood. I had a job coming over, and my partner got a job 5 weeks in. so we blew the 2nd pay package on the visa. Just make sure you stand well back from the water's edge in Cairns. They water is murky and they have signs all along the prom telling you not to swim as they have seen salt water crocs in it! Now the flights are booked we are looking into shipping and getting some quotes, renewing passports, opening bank accounts, applying for jobs, looking for rental accommodation, looking at the price of cars, on top of planning a wedding! I'm certainly not complaining though. Its so exciting. I hope everyone gets their visas granted asap and we can help each other with the organising our moves!! Good luck everyone! I didn't realise but I think I will miss my current job and the frriendships I have made, but I know we are doing this for the right reasons. It wasn't ever going to be easy but that's the challenge!
