no1mum
Hi Steve, My hubby and I have only been here 5 weeks and living in Heathridge. Missing opportunity to meet up with someone for a drink and chat. Have 18 year old daughter, so opportunities to meet other oldies limited other than work. If you and your wife want to have a social get in touch and we can arrange a venue, maybe perth, then we can all get train and enjoy a drink? How long you been here? We arrived 5 weeks ago and our daughter (19) next month is struggling. Our 2 older sons stayed in uk and we do not know anyone. How are your kids settling? We still don't know anyone, Kids have settled well, we arrived December 11, my daughter followed us Aug 12 as she had to finish Uni first, my son who came with us got an apprenticeship almost immediately which was great as he was struggling in the UK, where are you living, my kids are always looking for new friends, they have a very limited circle of friends, that's the problem with not going to school or Uni here

no1mum
Hi Druid we are in Heathridge at moment, Great news about your son getting an apprenticeship quickly. Paul started found and started work within 14 days, and Grace also, I started work on day 18!! Was a bit surreal as did not expect all of us to find work so quickly. However, need to expand social circle, missing the social we had with uk mates.

STEVE P
Hi all, I'm afraid I have double booked this with the only arrangement in our social calendar, we have a charity ball booked & paid for at the Casino on the 10th & had not checked the date. Can we delay this by a week until the May 17th, same time, same place. Hope this does not cause any inconvenience. I will try to private message those who had confirmed unless still go ahead and someone arrange. We will make sure we are definitely there on the 17th. cheers, Steve & Sue.
