LauraMcCracken
Hello, I'm just looking for a bit of advice before seeing an agent. My partner has lived here for nearly 10 years now, he came with his mum and brothers on a 457 visa, however his older brother didn't like it when they first moved out here and moved back to the UK without getting permanent residency. Now he wants to come and live here. He is 28 years old and has wife and little girl but we cant find a visa for them! Anybody any advice please? Surely there is a visa available for them! Thanks in advance.... Laura
verystormy
First, most people do not qualify for a visa. What are his and his wife's occupations?
Rossmoyne
There is a visa wizard on the Dept of Immigration and Border Protection website.... maybe try this as a first stop. https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1 Unfortunately, just because people want to come and live here, it doesn't mean that there is necessarily a visa pathway for them to do so. You have to have a skill/qualification that Australia needs, and your qualifications need to fit the requirments. Have a read through the DIBP website as there is a great deal of information available there.
ali
What are their occupations and do they qualify for a skilled visa? Sadly the WHV is out because they have a child (who wouldn't be able to accompany them on that visa).
