kookylittlestar
I got this one for my OH. Several practice tests, CD, tips, and a mark scheme. We both thought it was pretty good, and as a teacher I'm picky when it comes to textbooks http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1405833122/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=

travelchic
I was thinking the same thing...welcome back Levi Are you on nights Deb, or just nocturnal? Peax Cant sleep pea. Having trouble at work. My manager is being a prize cow. Everyone in work moans about her but they all just put up with her. I can't just put up with her. She treats people like they're idiots. She hates me because I challenge her. Can't wait to hand my notice in. And then there's the problem with the solicitors being cancelled by someone pretending to be me. That's playing on my mind. So instead of sleeping I find myself sat in the garden, drinking coffee and smoking my head off. I really don't wanna go in but I have to think of my collegues. If were short staffed it puts loads of pressure on everyone else and I love my collegues. So tempting as it is to go to the GP and tell him I can't sleep, off my food, smoking more and I feel like I need some time off, I won't. I'll brave the bitch ha ha Debs

travelchic
Think it's my ex hubby's ex girlfriend. He recently dumped her. If it is her, she's done it get at him, not me because I get the impression that she would love to see me out of the country as far away from him as I can get. We are great friends, nothing more, but I don't think she likes it. But it's tough. We've got 3 kids together and for their sakes we are better to be friends than enemies. Silly woman. You have so much going on personally with the migration and house sale and solicitor stuff. If your boss is being an arch-cow so you have no respite from stress when you go to work, I am sure that your colleagues would understand very well if you played what we call in WA "the mental health day" card. Look after yourself dear girl, because no-one else will be as kind to you as you are to yourself. xx

Hey Levi, I checked your profile the other day because I was worried we'd lost you. Welcome back, I hope 2014 is a better year for you as the tail end of 2013 wasn't particularly positive if I remember right.

Hi Levi - so good to see you posting again.... we missed you! How is your IELTS journey going? How is the work situation with you because as I recall you had been made redundant and were job hunting? Good to have your balanced view on life back with us. Just hope whatever is happening in your life that you have been keeping your amazing positive attitude in full gear! Levi
Debs, Peanuts, Portlaunay, Rossmoyne : Thank you and it’s good to be back. Work is sort of good - I’m a dispatcher at a transportation company, started this week. Did I mention my eye surgery/surgeries - still having some issues, but I hope things will get only better. (I have keratoconus.) I’m not wasting any more time with the IELTS. My sister read about a new visa type that could fit us, gave me a link, but I still haven’t checked it out. Soon! MrsM aka Levi: Cool! How come there are Levi’s in Scotland? ‘Levente’ is mostly a Hungarian name. Hope to meet all of you if and when I get to Perth! Until then hang tight, stay healthy - and don’t let bosses get on your nerves haha! Wishing everyone all the best! PS. Oh forgot to add that I've started learning Mandarin Chinese Edited March 19, 2014 by Levi

Mark Beesley
Thanx everyone for the advice and info for ielts test. I received my results today and got 8 8 8 8. Thanks very much
vickijem22
Hi Debs, I noticed on your thread that you've sat the General IELTS. I have just received my results for my second attempt and got 8 and above for everything except reading which was 7.5:-(. I'm fast approaching 40 (Sept), skills assessment has just been submitted so time wise things are pretty tight for me. I need the 20 points for my visa, is there much difference between the general and academic? Can I ask if you managed to get sponsorship? Otherwise our only option is initially to go over on a 457. TIA, Vicki
