I am not on any lists for WA

Visa options look very limited

Job offers look even more remote as it seems employers want you to be in Oz already

Crazy thing is, I am very well known in the UK for what I do, and yet, for Oz, I cannot even seem to get even the most basic job that I am qualified for!

All I want, having spent many years visiting Perth, is to now move there

Cannot see a way forwards

Dispensing optician, in Oz this is referred to as Optical Dispenser, but my skills reach far over and above this, as a business adviser, consultant, growth expert, business development, new business adviser- but these are all self taught and nothing formal

I just cannot believe, that for someone so keen to go, and has skills, that there are no other options...

sorry, can't help much...have you looked at the skills lists for all the other states to see if another state is sponsoring your occupation? Other than this all I can suggest is try and find an employer willing to sponsor you, contact companies who may need your skills. Good luck

Yes, got to be WA! I am even thinking of retraining in something that is on the list, just feels a bit risky if you get the qualification, then it drops of the list

It is risky if the list changes, our occupation came of the WA list just after the visa was granted. A lot of the trades and nursing professions which you would think will be safe went to schedule 2 in the last list update.

The occupation on SA skills list, why dont you go for the 190 visa for SA, try it and if you don't get a job or don't like it move WA? Although sponsoring states say you have to live and work in their state for 2 years apparently it is not a legal obligation, just a moral one.
